They found three key ways to alter the moment of inertia. They used a stainless steel wire-frame head. This head was previously used in the Monza Corza. The TaylorMade Monza Spider Mallet Putter was tested against the normal range of putters. The Monza Spider performed admirably. The results prove that the Spider is the better putter. The performance on miss hits of the Spider is much superior compared to the other putters with high-MOI. The quality of the Monza Spider is evident especially when the impact is away from the center and closer to the toe or the heel. The high-MOI of the Monza Spider helps maintain consistency when putting from long range even though the ball may have been struck off center.
