The Odyessy White Hot XG Sabertooth putter is without a doubt the strangest looking putter in the world. The sabertooth fang flanges on the back of the club give it the look of some futuristic sci-fi device. This radical head shape, however, helps to position the weight on the outer perimeter of the club, enabling straighter strokes and truer putts. The fangs account for 37 percent of the club’s weight, and help to give it a high MOI and better balance.
The aiming channels situated between the fangs are constructed such as to make it easier to line up your putts, critical on those long putts on contoured greens. The shaft comes in 33”, 34” and 35” lengths, comfortable for different size golfers, rather than forcing everyone to bend to the same length.
The Sabertooth is priced around $130, which is about right for a club as important as a putter. If you’re willing to shop around the Internet, even lower prices can be found.
