Rife 2-Bar Hybrid Tour Mallet Putter Review
Guerin Rife Golf Inc. was established in January 2000. Since then, the company has been producing excellent putters with simple yet very effective designs. Most of the putters in the Rife line use CNC milled technology along with RollGroove. RollGroove is the patented technology of Rife and ensures that the boll does not skid along at the beginning of the putt but has a true roll.
Rife took input from many of the Tour players and devised an excellent mallet putter based on their feedback. The result is the Rife 2-Bar Hybrid Tour Mallet Putter. This is an excellent hybrid mallet putter with some truly amazing features. The first thing you notice about the Rife 2-Bar Hybrid Tour Mallet Putter is the unique design. It has a plumber neck hosel design. Not often seen before, this design gives the putter a unique look and many advantages. It also has a black finish. The two bars, which give the putter its name, have been shortened. This is to allow for the extra weight of the hosel. The result is a more compact and smaller head. All of this combines to give a feel not experienced with the old 2-Bar putters.
The head weighs 345 grams. This model has adjustable weights as an option. Along with the adjustable weights, the weight of the putter would come up to 360 grams. It has a standard lie angle of 70 degrees. The loft is two degrees with an effective loft of one and a half degree. The Groove ratio is 1:3. The shaft kick back, a measure of how much the shaft is leaned back toward the player’s right eye, is around half a degree. The Rife 2-Bar Hybrid Tour Mallet Putter is available in standard lengths of 33”, 34” and 35”. It is only available in right handed models.
